you dont just use an rta to get flat response you use it to check for holes peaks and dips i use them to create curves as well...dunno many who tune very well just by ear and of those that said they do they fookered my system up back in the day lol

Having something meter well on the RTA and having something "sound good" are two entirely different things...a flat response sucks to listen to, IMO.

You think that I am that much of a nOOb? I used it as a base to start with. Then used it on many, many tracks setting up the curve that I feel sounds best for my setup.

Like I said above, I set it as flat as possible to begin with. Then I used atleast 5 or 6 different CDs of different types of music. My CD player allows for 5 different PEQ memory settings. I set each to a different style music. With the final one being the best all around settings. Each IMO is the best I can get from my current system. Honestly, in this truck/setup it is the best it has been and IMO the best it can get.

I just ordered a pair of Seas Lotus RW165...I wish they were here already, I want to do a H2H against the HDs. Anyone have any experience with them?
