The SQeer Thread

lol i got into a heated "talk" about that stuff was pretty funny. all sq is doing is evolving from the basics to something else lol imo its techology and marketing. i dont care what anyone says there is no substitute for main speaker placement and horns are still alot more dynamic than regular speakers...not even close

I talked to a couple of the guys that went to Iasca finals. To my surprise they all had good things to say about my truck. Thigs that I wouldnt have expected them to say. Great stage depth and width. Excellent tonal quality. One suggested that I do a very slight bit of EQ setting. Then I showed him that the deck's PEQ was sompletly flat LOL. I am going to bust out the RTA this weekend and get started on that.

Audiolife, any tips on RTA tuning. I feel that I can tune fairly decent by ear, but I have an RTA and want to further tune it.

Some nice choices.. if you can afford the lex, and truly afford to maintain it how you should.... the grab that baby up.

we've had more lexus's then i can count, my dad currently has a LX470, RX300 (soon to get the RX400h) and a SC430 and they have been no trouble at all

my rx300 was very good to me as well. if you can get a lexus certified from a dealer then go that route. i remember blowing my drivers side speaker and they replaced it no questions asked

gotta have a refference point via pink noise then listen to material u listen too normally and comp discs and go from there
I have the Isaca SQ CD and 2 of the Dave Navone/Autosound 2000 CDs. I have messed with them on the home setup but not in my truck yet. Going to try and start working on it friday night.

get an rta and play pink noise look for dips. then adjust from what u hear in the music. you can and should also see if your car can do an almost flat 20-20k just to make sure there isnt a weakness with what you have

Sounds good. Looks like I will be breaking out the TL RTA and getting to work

Having something meter well on the RTA and having something "sound good" are two entirely different things...a flat response sucks to listen to, IMO.
