my god that is sick. Soo much equipment and work going into this van. I think when it is finally finished you will not even want to play it for fear of how it will sound.

I'd be scared. Props on the work that went in to the body of the van itself. I'll keep my eye on this build. Hopefully we get to see that baby trick video

Some people levitate cans with the air movement.
You will probably be able to levitate a baby/midget.

Well just got in a while ago from the shop...

here are some new build updates.

We continued with the work on the dash.

When we last left off we had cut out the dash stencils for the speakers.

We decided to change them up a bit and trim a bit of the perimeter so as to accommodate the windshield and also to keep the dash as low as possible.

You can see see the difference as well from the old one on the bottom and the newer one up top.

From there did a little jigging and got the top and face together to give a little look for what is to come

from there we did some test fitting... had a friend over who lent a hand as well....

We also came to the realization that we are limited in what we can do without the a windshield in place to make the appropriate measurements...

Funny story behind the windshield, is been sitting tucked away for about 10 YEARS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Last time it saw the light of day was in 1999 when the vehicle was still daily driven and not in Extreme mode //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Who would of thought that 10 years later it would be called upon once again to be put to use.

Now with the windshield in place and giving us some room to see where we were at distance wise with the dash build we figured we need to get some additional clearance just in case so what we decided to do was to make some adjustments to the STEERING COLUMN //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ... We opted to drop the column by about 3/4" with some washers in order to gain the clearance.. he you'll see the modification

and so the test fitting continued

Once everything was lined up and good to go we made it semi official

next was to start the ribbing of the dash to give it its contour and additional shape.

we hope that the build will be good to go when its all done.

our intent is not to just build a basic vehicle or set up..

we not only want it to be LOUD but also to sound good and even moreso

to look very very nice doing so. That is why we are pulling out all the stops

in this build and documenting it during the entire process as well.

as for finals if it attends it would be the dB Drag/Bass Race finals.. to be honest

I'm skeptical of being able to make it to finals mainly because there is still a lot to do and availability of time is lacking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
