I have yet to see a reasonably intelligent statement from you on this matter.

The USA is arguably the worlds dominant superpower, and we did not become this way appeasing everyone.

well, you forget that thare are a few things that might lead one to doubt the iraq contradiction (iraqis killing hundreds of americans)
though there is little to contradict what i asserted. including the fact that tony blair cleverly disrespected bush's election shortly after nov2.

Tony Blair and President Bush are on incredibly freindly terms, and strongly support each other, not to mention, think incredibly alike.

Great Brittain and The United States are the closest of Allies.

sure, there are europeans that have a great repect for america. like all those that agreed with america in wanting to invade iraq!

but maybe they had respect for us once we decided we were going to play cowboy and do it anyway because we are the greatest country on this planet and could do no wrong because we utter the word "freedom" with every bullet, bomb, and invasion.

maybe they had respect for us when after we invaded, our leader spoke down on the the european nations that didn't back us in our fight to defend our freedoms...wherein "defend" implies the military invasion of another country.

but they must have great respect for us! they voted, but we knew they were wrong. we showed them respect by defying the United Nations...certainly you would understand if bush was voted president but kerry "knew the republicans were wrong" and took the white house anyway.

sounds like your eating your words. I'm guessing you are basing this on countless interviews with Europeans on their opinions of america, right?

you are generalizing. you have no idea what the Europeans think. The UN has prooved to be a pointless assembly over the past few years. Many of their plans have back fired, and many more will soon (food for oil).

I don't blame bush for going against the UN on this one matter.

Sorry to start a debate but, you can invade a country for NO reason...kill 100,000 of their civilians, kill 1200 of your own, turn the largest surplus ever into the largest deficit ever, lose 1.5 million jobs, lie to america, botch the peace efforts in iraq like no one's business and turn the entire globe against your country...even in light of 9-11...and YET you win re-election.... **** BUSH. **** THE GOVERNMENT

Honestly, the whole argument of what the rest of the world thinks is useless. It doesn't matter what other countries are saying because they have their own interests in mind. Many countries just don't give a sh*t about terrorism because they have no say in the middle east conflicts... Thats basically what the whole thing revolves around, Israel. If you support Israel, the terrorists hate you... but if you have no say on the issue, you are already relatively safe.

Arafat told his people to vote for Kerry, does that mean its a good idea? I hope that **** guy croaks any day.

There is so much more going on that you never hear about, or hear very little about. Remember the Russian school take-over? Or the fact that Isreali's are car bombed on a daily basis? I'm not saying terrorism shouldn't be a concern to us, cause it should. But to say that the rest of the world doesn't have to worry about it is rediculous.
