okay so here it is. this is what i have to work with, im not changing a thing.

WIDTH- 38 3/4"

DEPTH- 15"

HEIGHT- 12"

this is the state of the box, sanded, wood filler is in.

id like ONE port, tuned to 36hz. it can be however wide...pref 3+"

im figuring 4.205 ft. for internal volume without the port. i want to fix this, ship out this box if Army-Killa still wants it, or else ill use it. now for port length.

port 12X4"------17.4" long gets me 35hz????

12x4-------14.75" long gets me 37hz...is this correct? and where do i measure the port length. down the middle? inside the wall. or around the outside of the port wall?

ok so i punched some numbers...i really could use another opinion, sorry for bothering everyone.....

12"*4"*16"=768

768/1728=.444

4.202-.444=3.75^3 ft....that its about 1.8^3 ft per sub. not with driver displacement yet.....

yeah, you need to use net volume when calculating the tuning, so it's kind of a back and forth until you figure out what you want.

i don't think you can do better than 2.9 cu ft @ 36Hz with a 4"x 12" port.

how long did you end up making the port?

(make sure you measure like this: port info )

or, to not confuse you, how long is the second part of the port wall (after the bend) ?
