the REAL power handling of a CompVR

I've never personally used them, but I think I remember hearing that they're good to right around their rated output, possibly slightly more. Good sub for the money is the general concenses (sp?) from what I remember hearing around here a while ago.

For now, i'm only using a 10" CVR 4 ohm, and it sounds pretty good. It's in a ported box, and i have 350 watts going to it, it can get pretty loud. It doesnt get distorted like my friend's crappy Pioneer sub. I havnt heard too many different subs but i love it

jbl 1200.1, sealed box.. around 1.5 cubes.

Loved it, took it all day long, and all night. She'd still be running it, but the jbl got scavenged to feed another project.

i have the 3 10inch 2 ohm with about 330 going to each in a small sealed box, gets very loud in my lil cab but one just blew 2day but ill have another one in tomorow, i love em, thank god for warrantys

who has driven kicker compVR's to their limits? how much can they really handle? any input is helpfull. oh and yea, i searched
they sure cant handle 1200 watts, hehe. i got bored and threw one up against the diamond audio 1200.1, and i was running it at 14.4 volts, so it was more like 1400 watts. it was handling it very well for about the first 4 seconds, then it went all to hell. anyway, i got the thing warrenty'ed (ehh, did the best i could) and now i have a new cvr.

thats extremely helpfull. thanks

thakns everyone else too. so they blew after four seconds? 1200 is what i would be burpin them at in comps, so all these high power experiences are helpfull. 1400 watts for four seconds? what kind of box?

i should really get them warrantied, but i like to buy stuff on ebay, and theres always a chance i wont blow them. anyone know about how much a recone costs on one of these subs? or if they even offer reconing on compvrs?

yes, in series, 8ohm

i've done it about a dozen or so times. i used to have it wired to a wall switch my garage and burp it when people came over //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i sold the box though and now it resides on top my refrigerator.
