The quality of EBAY Boxes??

I realize ther are many ways and dimension options for building a box. Yet I also get the impression Building a box is a task many can tackle. I am interested in a PRO BOXX for my tuck..about $210..yet it looks exactly identical to every DOWNFIRE box I have seen made and sold.

Are these Downfire Boxs I see for sale on EBAY for $89 of good quality?

Seem to get all positive feedback and the interior volume is perfect for what I need. I am thinking of saving a few dollars getting one of these instead of the PRO BOXX..which I have head in person and is very DURABLE.

Any comments??

I mean I am a Production manager for a Entertainment company..so this should be an Easy task..But, making one for the "first time" may not be worth the headache. I mean I gotta make this thing so it fits perfect under the rear seat..volume of 0.85..Clean looking..Thats gotta be a bigger headache than $100.

I mean I guess if this was a Box for my trunk it would be different. but I see myself now Bumbling around trying to build my "first" box, and questioning everything I do?

just make alot of measurements, cut a little extra everytime and then keep checking it to see if it fits. i only will make clean installs i hate the look of a box just sitting there

and if you must, absolutely must, get a ported enclosure, do it only for a sealed setup. Pre-fab ported enclosures are generally, as a rule of thumb, never to be trusted completely.

Make sure it's 3/4" MDF, not the cheaper 5/8" stuff or ultra-flimsy particleboard, both of which will rattle and waste power from your sub. Buy a tube of liquid nails, re-seal all the joints.
