too far out of our way to be driving to a 1x event haha.
If there are a few 2x and a 3x in GA or AL, id be down for the drive a couple times a year......but not constantly once every month.

There are a few in Niceville, FL and Panama City comming up. I dont know how far you are. One is 2x.

chevy, matt silby chimed in over on TP and said that BR should have a few shows next summer via the shops you mentioned I guess. Cole is trying to get some in Jackson atleast....and maybe hattiesburg.

me running/hosting the show = me not able to compete.......defeats the purpose.

Once you start a few shows and spread the word to shops, they will start hosting their own...then you can compeate in thoes.
In the mean time you get other people happy. If two of you became judges and you supplied the term lab then you could alternate who is hosting/judgeing the meets.

Charge a $25 entrance fee for dB Drag or Bass Race and $35 for both (standard pay around north florida) and buy a few small trophies, you may actually make a little cash to help pay back for that term lab.

yah, that wouldnt be a problem really, if i could front the TL money, but seeing as there is already one in my town and the guy is willing to host/run/judge whatever, then no need for me to get one. I believe he is willing to help me test/tune with it or atleast let me use it when need be. I hope anyways. He is on this forum as well as others. Maybe I can just buy the rule book and we can go halfs on things, and if another buddy wants in we can try it out. Shops around here are assholes (this side of town) we would need to go to the other side of town probably, which isnt a problem really.

as long as it's a 1x show....you are allowed to compete.
x2 on the Nashville thing. Rarely seen a TL around here. I still haven't found one although I have some leads in Gallatin and Dickson.
especially the final rounds where people where losing by a tenth at the last second. You don't breathe for the last 10 seconds....IMO, much more fun than the SPL side.
