A Detroit fan pulling for Cleveland //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Makes zero sense to me.. lol
I just have pity for the Indians. I mean 59 years without a championship? 43 years for the entire city of Cleveland? The main reason is because I want A-rod to opt out and sign with Detroit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I think he would fit better in Anaheim. If he seriously wanted to win, he would quit looking to make 30 million and sign for 15-18 million with a team like Detroit. Could you imagine a lineup that went Granderson-Polanco-Rodriguez-Magglio-Sheffield-Guillen as your top 6? It wouldn't matter that Pudge, Inge, and an assortment of Thames/Raburn/Perez sucked.

Also the Cubs won't take on a 30 million per year player with the team up for sale.

Bad plate discipline is chasing pitches out of the strike zone. Vlad is great at making contact, but his discipline or strike zone recognition is horrendous. Also, there have probably been numerous times he has swung at ball 4, and hit a pop fly instead of taking the walk and maybe helping his team.
but if he is hitting those pitches 400 feet.....

heck i remember vlad hitting a pitch that was literially going to hit his ankles and he golfed out a hr out of it lol

It would be smart of him from a winning perspective, but who the hell wants to cut their pay in half, to win? lol

I highly doubt he would want to sign for 15-18 million anywhere.

He's been banking over 25 million per for 7 years, plus endorsements, add another 18 million per for 5-6 years. He has more money then he can deal with. A-rod said in Texas he was willing to cut some of his salary to go to Boston, but the players union wouldn't allow that. He said he wanted to win, so if he does he'll sign with a team like Detroit for 18 million per. In Detroit, he'll be treated like a God. Only star player I can ever remember getting booed in Detroit was Juan Gonzalez. Ben Wallace, Billups, Barry Sanders, Yzerman etc were all treated like royalty by the fans.

True, Unfortunatley, New York is far to critical of him.. maybe if they cut his pay in half in NY, they would cut the boos in half too. lol.

That's the problem with New York. The Yankees should trade half their veterans for young players and rebuild, but New Yorkers will have a shitfest if the team has 3-4 down years, so instead they keep trying to patch the team till it'll finally collapse.

he's either going to Anaheim or Boston //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

New yorkers would hunt him down and light him on fire if he went to boston. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/flamer.gif.1fb8372af2de4b576aa9428ccc8a8f2f.gif
