Excellent, because that means I'd be able to pick Granderson.

Granderson isn't going to leadoff much longer. Detroit doesn't have any better options at leadoff right now.

Granderson plays excellent CF. Didn't he just win webgem of the year? That's the problem. Nobody watches the Tigers and they don't get as much national coverage so people don't see how good of a CF he is. He'll definitely get consideration. His fielding is great, but is arm is a bit suspect.

anyways....I know you like looking up stats. Looks up fielding % and errors by Centerfielders...also look for assists.

then add hitting stats.....

then you can come to the conclusion of who is the best CFer in the game

Granderson only made 1 error the entire 2006 season and 5 in the 2007 season. I didn't bring that up because I don't put a lot of stock in errors. All 5 of Granderson's errors were throwing errors. He did have 10 assists from CF, but I think that's more of a product of runners testing his arm.

Also it's hard to compare just defensive stats. For instance Granderson is near the top in the majors in putouts, but that could be due to the fact that Comerica eats up a lot of flyballs especially in center, wheras a stadium like in Philly, that ball is a homer vs. a flyout.

Granderson is also one of the league leaders in zone rating

All Ichiro has on Grnaderson is BA and SB. I'll take Granderson's power over Ichiro's slap and run any day.

Ichiro did have 65 more hits and about 30 points on him in OBP...

over 100 at-bats, that is 35 hits compared to 30. I'll take the doubles, triples, homeruns, over the singles.

The only reason he had a higher OBP is because of the BA. Granderson still had more walks. Ichiro is a better contact hitter then Granderson, not necessarily a more disciplined hitter.
