**The MLB Thread**

You didn't explain anything. His ERA since the all-star break explains enough. I don't care if he goes 12-0 the second half, that doesn't mean jack if his era is 6+ for all of those games. So I suppose Roger Clemens is a shitty pitcher right? He's got a losing record. You want to know what a pitcher is doing, look at the ERA. Not wins and losses. Also 2006-2003 = 3 years. That's the difference between a Randy Johnson throwing 97-98, and the Randy Johnson of today struggling in some games to hit 93.

exactly. i don't give a **** if his era is 10. if the tigers win who cares?

Utley streak has just ended

(unless the Mets go to extra innings...which I doubt...they are really ******* today)
it happened two games before my perdiction. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

That's the point. You give up 5 runs in the playoffs and you probably won't be coming back to win that game. Especially against another teams #1 or 2.

why don't you worry about chicago's shaky rotation? you talk shit about rogers, but yet most of chicago's starters has a higher era. tigers are 8-2 in rogers last 10 starts. come playoff time, rogers will be a 3rd or fourth starter

lol you just keep hoping. leyland is sitting verlander next start so he isn't gonna wear him out. how come you don't mention this kind of thing about liriano? seeing as how minnesota is on your heels and you aren't really in striking distance of detroit right now
Liriano isn't getting up there in innings yet. But if he really is having elbow problems, I don't expect him to pitch well the next 3 starts.

I don't need to worry about Chicago. We won the championship last year, and if we get into the playoffs our pitchers have been there and we will be poised.

I would put Rogers on waivers and see what I could get for him.

For the 1st half. What about for the 2nd half? The playoffs are in October, not April or May.

chicago hasn't pitched well in the second half hence the inflated era's so your argument puzzles me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
