bortolo colon won the cy young, so i think the pitching edge went to anaheim

Colon didn't even factor into the decision and I would take Mussina over him anyday.

mussina is better this year then last year

Mussina also doesn't have a history of injuries like Colon. IIRC Colon had back problems in that series and didn't pitch much. I think he was also out during the series with the Sox.

i still don't consider anaheim beating new york an upset. there are only 4 teams in the playoffs and usually have similar records. now if san diego would've defeated st. louis, that would've been an upset
