**The MLB Thread**

It isn't abnormal for a team to go on a losing streak or start to struggle, especially in baseball. What matters is how good your team is playing at the end of the year and going into the post season. If you paid attention, you would see that the White Sox struggled after the all-star break last year.

last year they had a 15 game lead and this year they were 4.5 out

They are .5 out. Even if we don't win the championship or make the playoffs, we still have last year, and that's good enough for me. What will be hilarious is when the Tigers get bumped out in the ALDS.

lol. why do you keep saying it and have no reason why? you are grasping at straws now

how do these options work? could another team pick up shelton? i'm really unclear how these call-ups and options and waivers work. kinda feel bad for shelton cause he seems like a good guy and was here last year during a bad season and really helped the team get started this year and won't be around to enjoy the playoffs if they make it. imo i would trade shelton cause this has got to kill his confidence

according to espn the tigers optioned chris shelton to triple-a toledo
Am I wrong or do teams in the playoffs get to expand their rosters?? I'm pretty sure they do and then they can bring Shelton back up.

I think has to do with his pay while he is down in AAA and he doesn't make as much money. I'm not sure so don't quote me on that.
