i think it's a good move. either broussard or victor martinez. no way you leave martinez behind the plate.

Why wouldnt u leave Martinez behind the plate? He is one of the better catchers in the league. He is young still, so see no real reason why they would let one of the better hitters on Cleveland in Ben Broussard go. Dont add up. I mean they let Eduardo Perez go earlier in the season to Seattle and now Broussard. I am not 100% sure if that is what they did. I havent been watching them as of late, but just read about it yesterday. Martinez has played first before, but still I think it is just retarded what they did. I guess Eric Wedge had some major concerns about Broussards play at first as he has been making some errors. Still dont seem justified if they stick someone there that hasnt played much first base not to mention Shoppach who dont have a ton of major league experience behind the plate.

martinez is one of the worst catchers in the league man. he only threw out 10% of base stealers. pudge is having a bad year behind the plate throwing out 30-35%. pudge used to average 50% in his prime.
