I dont know why Matt Kemp was sent back to the minors....dude is nice

Out of all the young talent they have out there he was the young guy that was struggling the most. Other guys that were down in AAA were on rehab assignments are under big league contracts so they had to bring them up.\

I tell you, what a difference a couple of years makes for the Dodgers. They went from having the game's BEST closer (Gagne still holds the record for saves in 2 consecutive saves and the record for most consecutive without blowing 1) and great setup men. Sanchez, Brazoban and a couple of great left handers to name a couple. A very good starting rotation but the catch was the Dodgers had NO hitting to go with that pitching. Now here it is 2 years later and only the Mets have scored more runs than the Dodgers in the national league and their pitching staff leaves alot to be desired. The bullpen is horiffic and can't hold a lead for nothing.

They are quite the symbol of irony at this point. Will be interesting to see what happens with them the rest of the season. With the younger guys they're bringing up this year they should be looking good for hitting talent.

OF Andre Ethier, C Russ Martin, OF Matt Kemp just to name a few.

They are an interesting franchise at this point.

I hate rivera...from what ive seen...hes way over-rated...i dunno how he puts up the stats he does. The guy has 2 pitches...and his fastball is no faster than 95. Almost lost the allstar game, and this is now 2 games where he has almost blow it because we started shelling him. If he could throw 7-8 inning...we'd rock him.

closers don't need more then 2 pitches. a 95 mph fastball is pretty good, especially if you can locate it. then that cut fastball when it's going is impossible to hit. if he was a starter he would need to develop another pitch. how did he almost loose the all-star game? from what i recall he set them down 1-2-3.

Rivera has one pitch....but uses that one pitch more effectively then just about any other pitcher in the league...

Most all closers have one dominant pitch, and one pitch that can work very well...I think it's Hoffman that has a great changeup, and he can still throw a low-mid 90's fastball when needed.

also don't forget rivera does a lot of 2-inning saves, more so in the playoffs

I just watched the ReRun of the ESPY's....cant believe the frickin Steelers won team of the year.... I KNOW..and i think i can say we all know if the cubs won the world series...they would have probably won team of the year....and the Sox were right behind them as far as the last time their team has won a world series.

I hate Pittsburg....bogus city.
