It's part of the game. I didn't see what happened, I was watching on ESPN's gamecast. It's natural to get pissed about a bad call, but one bad call did not cost the Red Sox the game.

Furthermore, even instant replay doesn't help as much. b/c people will want to review every play. ex: That pitch was a strike, or a ball. The ball was fair/foul. Etc, there will always be something to argue about, especially balls and strikes, b/c I'm sure you've seen where an ump has called a pitch in a certain spot a ball/strike, and then called the same pitch a little while later the opposite of what he called the pitch earlier.

if the coach loses a challenge....what should be his penalty?

Absolutely not. They earned all the wins they had against the Tigers. A cheap win to me is when you interfere with a fielder during a double play by grabbing his jersey allowing the tying run to score. A cheap win is when you have a camera in the bullpen to steal signs from the opposing team. and another cheap close game win...helloooooo, you're talking about the team that won THE MOST 1 RUN GAME IN BASEBALL last year.....their team is just as good this year...why would that statistic change?? You;re team is doing better than ours, you dont have any room to even complain about that!

That is a judgement decision, therefore it would not be reviewable. Just like balls and strikes, it is a judgement call.

Actually, yes it did. If the umpire had called Pierzynski out for interference the game would have been over. Not to mention in that same inning when the Sox had the bases loaded and there was a pop fly where the guy should have tagged up and scored from third but didn't.........Jermaine Dye rounded third on that play and when the ball was caught he didn't re touch 3rd base on his way back to second so he should have been out too which would have also ended the game.

All in all this was cheap as hell ****ing win. No other way to describe it.

BTW.........I am for replay in MLB.

Good luck to Ben is all I have to say. He is a grown up and can do whatever he wants. Detroit rolled over and died in the post season so who ****in cares what happenes to them. They'll probably have to rebuild now anyway. I'm actually a Celtics fan from back in the 80s when the NBA was a league of skills, not BS.
