why? Even with this win and even if the Rays go on to win it all they will still be the underdog next year...If Boston stays healthy Red Sox>Rays

how still think about it they keep everyone they have this year and bring in a high dollar closer and maybe a high dollar starter since u will have garza,shields, and andy for solid starters and kaz depends on how healthy he is so bring in a high dollar starter incase he cant pitch good and u got price for another starter instead of jackson if price keeps doing wat hes doing he will be hard to beat

and then bring in a high dollar right handed hitter it will be hard to beat the rays, and put jackson in the bullpen and grab another strong reliever

The Ray's probably couldnt afford it..small market team sooner or later Upton, Crawford and their pitchers will want their worth and Boston is a big market team that basically will be saving 20+ million next year over this year....Rays will be in competition with the Yankees and the Yankees are rebuilding and have a TON more $$$ than the rays

Will you shutup already about the payroll. Most of Tampa's players haven't even hit their arbitration yet. The payroll difference doesn't mean a lack of talent. Tampa is young. Wait till they become arbitration eligible or free agents and then we'll see if Tampa will spend or not.

They'll still be 8,000 people at Rays games next season.

Team is great, fans **** for the most part. Funny when people start showing up in the LCS, yet you couldn't get 10,000 people to a game in June.
