DBacks just claimed Adam Dunn off waivers

Beat should be happy
Like they need any help. The Dodgers choking is all the help they will ever need. It looks like the Dodgers' CLOSER situation is as bad as the Tigers' is.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I thought Blake's intangibles were suppose to make the Dodgers not choke? Or is Manny being Manny choking the Dodgers? What a paradoxical quandary this is.
Well, first of all..........STFU.

Second of all, it is the bullpen that has let them down.

Anymore questions wise ***.???

Blake and Ramirez have played well since joining the Dodgers. Anyone that knows anything about baseball would know that. But then again we're talking about you aren't we.

x2!

He thinks he knows all, but looking at the stats and overall play, they have done very good.

He will always be a dumbass though, so nothing new there.

And ouch for Tampa, Crawford might need season ending surgery.......and Evan Longoria just broke his wrist. I was really pulling for them to beat Boston.

And OMG, Indians on a 4 game winning streak!

since carlos lee is out for the season, who do you think will win the nl mvp? Its really only between howard, pujols, braun and berkman. I think it will be albert pujols, but ****, this is going to be a close race for an mvp this year. Any thoughts?

Even if he was still playing, Carlos Lee wouldn't have won it.

And Ryan Howard is batting .240. I don't care how many homeruns he has. Unless he is batting over .270, he won't win it.

Will either be Berkman, Pujols or Holliday or Braun. Tight race, but will be between those 4 I believe.

Would like to see either Holliday or Braun get it.

pujols is leading the league in slugging percentage, intentional walks and is 3rd in the league in hitting. I think he should win it but if jimmy rollins won last year, anybody can win this year assuming there team is in the playoffs. It doesnt look like the rockies have a chance in hell, so holliday has no chance. And, howard still has a good chance to get to 270. Remember when andrew jones was only batting 260 and he was in the race when he hit 51 homers?

Like I said Pujols will be in the race.

Jimmy Rollins had a monster year last year. Don't know what you are talking about? He deserved it IMO and a shit ton of other people, lol!

There have been players to win it and not make the playoffs.

But generally they stick to the good teams. So that is why I mentioned Braun.

Andruw Jones was only in it due to Home runs and his skills in the outfield, even though he can be a dumbass out there. As you could see, he didn't win it, so your point is moot.

Howard strikes out too much and will be a .250 hitter through out his career, unless of course he cuts down on the strike outs and stops trying to always hit a HR.

Yeah, I feel bad for the Rays a little bit. A team that has NEVER won will now have to overcome some serious adversity. They're definitely this year's feel good story. I think they will make the playoffs even if they don't win their division. But we'll see I guess.

BTW, Manny had 2 more hits tonight including a 2 run double. It was his 1st at bat with the bases loaded as a Dodger and he roped one into the left-center field gap that landed on the warning track. Even though right before the bottom of the 9th he was late coming onto the field because he looked like he had to change fielding gloves. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif Oh well, if that is all we have to put up with once in a while I can deal with it. Especially with his almost .500 avg and 14 RBIs in 10 games with the Dodgers. They're only 5-5 since he joined but it hasn't been his fault, that is for sure.

Casey Blake hit a 2 run BOMB over the center field wall tonight as well. Estimated at 410 feet. But the player of the game was 1B James Loney with his 3 hits and 3 RBIs.

But it is Kemp that is impressing me the most on this entire team. He's a 5 tool player. Hits for average, hits for power, great fielder, great arm, AND has speed.....enough speed to steal bases. He's going to be great and I sure hope the Dodgers hang on to this kid.

I figured Blake being the leader he is, would've went to the bullpen and led them to success.
