**The MLB Thread**

Tigers trade Jason Grilli to Colorado and call up Cruceta. Cruceta has been dominating the minors. They had a problem with his visa getting him into the US but finally got it through. Tigers are only 2 games out and the offense now leads the league in runs scored.
Jurrjens has look pretty good thus far for the Braves..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I was reading a great article that pointed out how the Yankees extremely overhyped both Hughes and Kennedy. The story claimed that Hughes isn't a #1 or #2 arm, and a #3 starter at best, and Kennedy is a #5 starter.

Watching these two clowns play, it's blatantly apparent that the Yankees severely overvalue them. To think, they wouldn't give up one or either of these hacks to get one of the, if not the, best pitcher in baseball.

I was at the game Tuesday...sat in Upper Section 6 Row E, its fun up there lol

It's all the extra innings he threw last year. He ran out of gas in the playoffs. Look at Carmona. Dude can't even hit the strike zone. Lucky for him it hasn't bit him in the *** yet.
GRRRRRRRRR, I hate when people use this stupid *** logic!

They did something about this on ESPN not to long ago about how that shouldn't even be irrelevent. CC is young and has plenty of arm left in him, rather it be an Indian or not. He will come around, just struggling this year as he is trying to hard, like slammed said. He has a lot on his shoulders being regining CY Young and he is still young. He will work out of it and has in his last two starts. Should have won his last outing, but our offense is stuggling mightly right now.

I can see your point more when it was the playoffs, but he had all off season to get into shape and what not. So all those innings shouldn't have to do with squat this year.

Also back in the old days, hell really not even that long ago, 240 plus innings was an average. You pitched either the whole game and had a closer come in. Those guys lasted years to boot. So I don't get that because he pitched so many innings last year has any reason why he is ******* right now.

I was going to go to the May 10th game, but doesn't look like that's going to happen.

You know about the $5 tickets, right?

Really don't need Bonds to be the same hitter he was in SF. As long as he can get on base in front of Magglio and Cabrera, that's all they need.
True, but him getting on base will be the thing. I know he has one of the best eyes around, but has been off for sometime. So he better be in shape when he comes back or I don't see him helping a team much, rather it be Detriot or anyone else for that matter.
