we couldve acquired Oswalt in a 3-way, but he didnt want to let Tejada go. Yet Miguel goes to the Astros this year in exchange for crap.

Bedard doesn't want to sign long term, and his trade value is as high as it will ever be right now, and Baltimore is going nowhere and needs to rebuild. I think it makes a lot of sense for Baltimore to move him.

I don't understand how you can justify getting a single great pitcher, is better then getting a great and younger hitter, a younger and good pitcher, and a good SS? 3 all-stars vs. 1?

Willis is only 25. He had one bad season. I see no reason why he cannot bounce back and be a good pitcher.
