At least my team didn't blow a 3-1 series lead, and my parents were alive the last time they won a championship. Where was Cleveland in 2006? They couldn't even finish above 500 after winning 93 games the previous year.
Also at least Todd Jones didn't blow game 7 of the World Series like Jose Mesa did.

I would much rather play in the post season fighting for a shot at the World series instead of sitting at home wishing we could be there. Then again the Tigers could have made it, then they just would have been swept by any team anyway, so not saying much. At least Cleveland had a shot and were beat by a better team. Simple as that. I can't believe you say this when it was just last year Cleveland finished with a losing record and Detroit was in the playoffs. At least Detroit contended till the end for a playoff spot, especially with all their injuries.
