**The MLB Thread**

God you are retarded! Who cares how many innings he has pitched. His whole career he was a starter, through the minors and what not. I think you say this shit based on him being used a reliever last year. Well he sucked in the beginning as a starter, so they tried him at closer and that failed. He just had a rough go last year and has completley turned this year around. Should be the comeback player of the year. I don't get that Wedge didn't manage him right. He let the guy pitch and did an excellent job at it. Let me guess you will say the same thing about CC too right?
Dude, you should never increase a pitchers innings that much from year to year. You will wear down his arm. Look at Bonderman and Robertson, look at Carpenter, look at Chicago's rotation in 06.

Cleveland might have lost this one, but we are still up and Boston is playing catch up. I know they did it in 04, but this is 07. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You said the samething about CC earlier and he gets better each year and he pitches more innings with every year besides that one he got hurt. So whatever dude. Sometimes I think you just like to hear the keys click.

I mentioned it this year and CC has had injuries, and it looks like he is wearing down here in the playoffs...

I'm just saying their is a history of pitchers struggling after pitching that many innings the season before. The 2007 Tigers and Cardinals, 2006 White Sox, 2005 Angels etc.

He is struggling not because of the innings, but because Boston has his number and twice so far. If you think it is because of the innings, then please STFU, cause you don't know what you are talking about.

Fausto has pitched a lot of innings and looked strong in the playoffs.

Beckett would have been up there in innings as well, but he got hurt and missed 4 starts this year. Would you have said the samething about him? Or what about Verlander. Didn't he get hurt as well and miss a couple starts?
Verlander didn't miss a start and I just posted that I expected Verlander to struggle this season and was surprised he pitched the whole season and pitched well.
