**The MLB Thread**

Indians lost tonight, oh well! Got to let them win 1 with us winning the series in basketball, ahaha!
You're enjoying this aren't you? Well, Tigers won last night and looks like they will win again today which makes 2 in a row. That 4-1/2 game lead will be down to 2-1/2 if the Tigers hang on. Bonderman was great on the hill yet again.

Ah, well I didnt even know they were playing an early game today, but oh well, if they lose, they lose. I was just rubbing it in more towards Icetea. I thought it was a hell of a series win or lose against the Pistons. Like I said I can talk to you and you also understand me more than Tee.

Also why wouldnt I enjoy it. Of course I am enjoying it! The Cavs are going to main event of basketball and have a chance to win it all!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

Indeed they are. We'll see how they match up against the Spurs.

As far as the Tigers and Indians are concerned: They are in a rain delay with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th with the Tigers leading 9 - 2. I couldn't believe they wouldn't let them get one more out.

Well Indians are very up and down this year again, imagine that, I still think they will make the playoffs rather it be winning the Central, which I think they can, or at least the wild card spot. We shall see, we shall see.

I am very surprised they wouldnt let them play with one more out either.

I guess it was coming down soooo hard that they had no choice. It was a short down pour though and they're already back on the field now.

yay Mets!!
freakin YAY!

Don't hate. It's hard to win 9 in a row, going to have an off day in there somewhere //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

draft was today

tigers selected rick porcello 27th overall. from what i've read, he is a top 5 talent who slid to 27th due to contract demands. the scouting reports say he is basically another verlander. same build and delivery, porcello features a 95-97 mph fastball wheras verlander can hit triple digits. both have good curveballs and changeups, and porcello also has a slider. so if detroit signs him, the rotation in 3 years could be verlander, miller, bonderman, and porcello. 4 years in a row now detroit has got top talent in the draft, with verlander, miller, maybin and now porcello.

I hate years where everyone only picks pitchers. It's more fun to watch a position player come up like Griffey Jr. did.
actually i like dombrowski's plan. stock pile young pitching, and sign free agent position players. also if you have lots of pitching you can trade it for offense

also if you want to see griffey, watch maybin. he's a right handed griffey

Pfft he's crap.
if you say so. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

he's suppose to be great defensively in centerfield, and is suppose to even move granderson to left, and granderson is an excellent defensive centerfielder. he doesn't have the power as griffey, supposedly a 35 homerun a year guy, but he hits for average, gets on base, and has 30-40 stolen base potential.
