Nice pickup for the Padres in Maddux...

not sure if he is worth 10 million but the same could've been said about kenny rogers last year. just glanced pver drew's stats again and he only had one season where he 100 rbi's (he had 100 even) and one season where he hit 30 home runs (31 is his career high) and he gets 70 million?

worst offseason ever. this is why i was down on baseball until oakland, minnesota, detroit etc. started winning. it's basically teams on each coast spending cash and the middle america teams are basically their farm system

If Barry Bonds gets that much for 1 year and as bad shape as he is in, I just might stop watching baseball. Some of these pick ups like Gary Matthews and Drew are just pure crazyiness! Then Maddux gets 10 mill for 1 year!! WTF? He is not the Maddux of old, so why spend so much on him? Oh well, this shit is getting retarded!

Truth be told, I was hoping all the MLB teams would shun Sterry Bonds to avoid him getting the record. Who really wants that circus in their clubhouse every game?

I'd rather my team finish last without Sterry than win the World Series with him. I am just glad they have no interest in him.

PS: Great news! I just signed a 5-year deal worth $70M. And I haven't played since little league 26 years ago!
