little to main stream for my taste, not bad subs... it's just what your wanting as far as sound.

I give them a 7/10 for the 8's/10's/12's/15's & 18's. I have heard 4 8inch L7's under the seat of a ext cab silverado with 800rms amp... sounded really good. I was impressed.

my brother has 3 12" L7s on a JL 1000/1 with a BIG A$$ Kove capacitor i think its like 25 fared or something it has room for like 3 amps on it in a ported box in his 76 impala custom and wow they do sound really good they get pretty loud even w/o an EQ and all that but i think there still a little over rated kicker makes good stuff but to much hype goes into the L7s

my brother has 3 12" L7s on a JL 1000/1 with a BIG A$$ Kove capacitor i think its like 25 fared or something it has room for like 3 amps on it in a ported box in his 76 impala custom and wow they do sound really good they get pretty loud even w/o an EQ and all that but i think there still a little over rated kicker makes good stuff but to much hype goes into the L7s

maybe because he only has 333 watts going into each

I have a S10L7 on kicker recommended ported box which is like 2.2 cu.ft after port and sub displacement. It was impressive with about 800 RMS.

Mainstream subs? Does anyone remember when 10 of the 10" L7s with Kicker amps did a 176.5db. And that was back in 2001. I would say they are very capable subs.

your right..you just cant deny that..if your going for pure spl and didnt care about how it sounded and had a small budget then just do L7's and call it a day..you can fry your brain looking for something louder for cheaper..i just dont think its exsist yet..
