Seriously.

I set up shop, trying to get my old Head Unit to run off a computer power supply. (It has a 12v rail line, so it should be able to start up my HU)

There's the diagram.

I have a 12v wire hooked up to illumination / 12 volt line, and a negative hooked up to chassis line.

The illumination light lights up, but the unit doesn't turn on.

Any ideas?

It worked when I took it out... and from there it just sat in my closet.

And the illumination light turns on. :\
