The heat index is bullshit

It was created for east coasters to be able to throw around high temperatures even though it isn't really that hot out. Weather info is notorious for this. They often state the heat index during heat waves instead of air temperatures

I'll admit that high humidity is very uncomfortable, but it cannot be related to a high air temp. The conditions feel completely different. Humidity gives a wet feeling from your sweat sitting on your skin. Straight up high temps are like opening an oven, it hurts, but you'll stay relatively dry.

Not the same. State the temp and humidity if it is notable.

well down here where the humidity is 90 to 100% and its already 105 i believe the shit when i am out in it.

I recently went to the desert and it was 112 according to our car. Didnt feel as hot as it did here.

well 2wks ago when i was workin on my car the weather guy said like 98. i took a thermometer outside where i was working. shit was 118 bruh. humidity makes a difference. you don't know shit about humidity being in AZ.

they take the temps in the shade brah
i know this knee-gruh. 98 with 0 humidity is WAY the fuk different than 98 with 100% humidity. you walk outside and it slaps the shit out ya.

op is teh mad cuz we haz humidity? you can have it bruh. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif i hate the shit.

word. workin on my car everyday after work in 90+ temps with 90+% humidity sucks fat nuts. 10 minutes and you are soaked. i still gotta uninstall then reinstall my shit. tryna catch a break in this rain.

Ive been in 110+ degree weather out west...and it doesn't even compare to the 100 degree weather coupled with high humidity out here in the southeast. I work outside all summer long and I break into a full sweat just walking to my car. Its terrible

Shit, I'd trade 100 degrees 0% humidity for 90 with 90% humidity any day. You obviously have never worked outside in the southeast at this time of year.
Let me dumb it down for you. When the body overheats it sweats to cools itself and evaporates the sweat carrying the heat with it. When it's humid outside it doesn't evaporate the sweat as easily since the air has a lot of moisture already in it leaving the heat on the body.
