You can own a handgun if you are 18 or over. You just can't buy one from an FFL until you are 21.

Once I get my Concealed Carry permit I'll be adding a Springfield XD45 Compact to the list. Also hopefully a Kimber 1911 45 in time as well but not right away.

i got a browning a 500 r 12 guage semi auto, winchester 410, marlin 22, and an off brand 20 guage pump. I'm planning on getting some home defense weapons here shortly...like a high point 45 and possibly an an sks or ak 47. all pretty cheap guns.

Dont get an sk or ak for home defense, unless you feel like shooting your neighbors or your family with strays.

Shotgun is way to go for home defense.

Not really, that round will penetrate your walls and maybe even carry farther.

If the point is home defense, as in defend your family and or property why would you want to be the one to destroy either.
