the big 1?

I got a brand new car and dont want to mess with upgrading the wire for alternator to positive and engine to chasis, however, I can upgrade the negative to chasis. Will this do any improvement, or do I have to do the big 3?

I have read somewhere that it helps slightly, but to fully take advantage of the Big 3 you have to do all 3

honestly though i have no clue, ive never done just one

No, it's not a waste of money or time. If your running an amp off of 4, 2, or 1/0 gauge to the rear, and grounding it to the chassis/body, then upgrading the battery to ground is a must. Most vehicles have 8ga or smaller wires for the stock ground.
