anyone had it before?
Had the 90 min and it was ok, Im with you not really an ipa fan. That 120 min will put you on your *** quick though wouldn't mind trying it either if I could find it at a decent price.

its something like 18%abv iirc
ohio has ghey liquor laws so it can't be sold here
That's pretty hefty. They probably had to sweeten the heck out of it to keep it drinkable, though. The two Warsteiners I had last night were great. Forgot what real German beer tasted like for a minute there. Nothing like Beer, a pretzel, and some fish & chips. Oh yeah, and two free shots of Rumpleminze because the waitress dug Navy guys.

Authentic German beers ftw

I laugh at everyone that drinks Beck's because its "German" then I make fun of them and explain how its brewed in St. Louis. The look on their face is priceless

Lol you mean like St Pauli's girl or Heineken? Yeah, forgot for a while how awesome the beer selection is at Red Lion. And everything I had was on tap, mind you.

Getting ready to go to a local benefit. Was told they will have boston lager there. If not all will be ok. The bottomless cup is only 5$.

It should be a good nite

ok i didn't drink for like 48 hours
Quitter.

Yup. We had it on tap at my work.... VERY hard to find, especially on tap. It's very interesting, a lot of alcohol warmth on it (it has an 18.2% abv iirc). I only had one glass of it, the keg blew within a couple days and we didn't even advertise it on any menus. I also did a car bomb with it, but it had about 3oz of Bushmills, and was a blend of three beers: Dogfish 120, Alesmith Speedway Stout, and Lost Abbey's Angel's Share. All three beers have an abv over 11%, and there was about 12oz of beer. Needless to say after doing that, and one more with just the Speedway Stout, I was absolutely SHIT FACED.

Some of my favorite beers we have on tap at my work right now:

And, in a couple weeks we'll have the highly heralded Pliny The Younger. While we don't advertise it's release at ALL, we do manage to go through a full 15gal keg in about 3 hours //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It makes for a very fun night of the year:

How much was the 120 on tap?

When i have extra money to spend i'll go to a tap house in erie. I love micro brews but it can hurt the wallet.

It was $10 for a 12oz pour.

Hurt the wallet? Depends how you look at it.... any place with decent pricing will easily be competitive with the shit macro brews.

ONE 12oz pour of Dogfish Head 120ipa has more alcohol content than THREE Coors/Bud/Miller beers. Not only that, but it's made with better ingredients that are better for you, it actually tastes GOOD as opposed to bearable at best, and it leaves you feeling less full and bloated. Well worth the cost when you look at the actual value of it. Sure.... you only get one beer as opposed to three "beers". But if you look at it in terms of alcohol content and enjoyability, you get more alcohol, and more enjoyability.

I agree that the beer is better and you get more bang for your buck. But 10$ a pop is quite a bit. I would probly try it but it would have to be amazing for me to continue to buy it. The beers i like to drink range from about 35$a case to 45$. My favorite is a seasonal that is 10.1% , 40$ a case.

I'm pretty spoiled, a bar less than a mile from me sells erie brewing's Railbender ale for 2$ 12oz glass. Thats dirt cheap. Railbender is like 7.6% iirc.

For comparison, in erie they sell 16oz for 5$.

@ 2$ its cheaper than buying it by the case.
