Its a joke that has been around for years and years and allows each comidean to use their very own style to tell the joke. the movie is nothing more than 100 comideans different views on the joke and telling the joke.

It's supposed to be ironic. Most of the comedians in the movie **** at it, therefore making the movie unfunny save a few moments.

I'd like to think of myself as someone who is somewhat clever, and can get some smart humor, but I really don't see anything funny about that, other than it being ordinary people that are trying to be something they arent? I just dont get it.

Like someone else said, it's usually a warm-up of sorts. A joke that comedians tell other comedians. Think of it as comedic jazz. It's like an exercise of improvisation. It takes timing and delivery to make it good.

Thats why only a few comedians are good at it. Bob Saget was one of the best. it was so dirty

you ever see a comedian that has horrible timing??? its sad to watch, but when someone like Dave atell or Andrew dice clay get on stage there not "funny" they are just those guys that say shit that you don't expect to here at that point in time. thats why its funny to use. out of the ordinary is always funny. I'm planning to go up on stage in a few months to do a bit. there alot of these exercises in the stand up world.

To me, Dave Atell is only funny because of his timing. He never says anything funny, he just says the right thing at the right time.
