happens to me every year....i think its usually around this time....i get really bored of my setup....and look to change stuff around...i dont know if its because i displease with what i have, or maybe im just looking to get something different so i wanted so see what you guys thought of some new setups...

my front stage is for sale so im thinking about going to a fully active front stage....im going to pick out drivers and im talking to people about that currently....

changing the subwoofer setup is more of what im thinking about

right now its a mag 15 off the SAZ1500D @ 1 ohm....

the first two setups that came to mind were......

2 MJ18's sealed but i would have to run the amp at 2 ohms (i love the amp dont really want to get rid of it) so they would see around 400 watts a piece (does the 1500D only do 800 watts @ 2 ohms?)

second thing i thought about doing was 4 Assassin 8's ported but once again the lowest ohm load i could get out of them would be 2ohms so they would be seeing the same wattage as the two MJ's....

i think i want to try a mutiple subwoofer setup only because ive had a single 15" type R, a single Q 18, and now a single mag 15......

what do you guys think any suggestions?

why don't you like the mag? i heard they are sweet subs?

not saying i dont like the mag...i just like changing things up pretty frequently....wont know what i really like till i try it all...

i vote 2 18's that'll give you a 1 ohm load. portem if you have the room, if not sealed would be just as nice.

how about changing to a nice balanced system. Mag 15 w/ 1500w... I can see why you'd want more midbass from your 6.5"s

I'd say try bigger mids. 7 or 8"s maybe.

I would get tired of passive systems, too.

im trying to figure out a way to get 8's to work but its a lease and its up in another year and a half so heavy mods are really out of the question....

well i have someone that will grab my 2 channel and vanadiums for $600

and im sure i could sell the mag for $300 range...

that leaves me with a $1000 budget to work in something new....

id really like to try an active front stage....

and maybe a multiple sub setup....perhaps 3 or 4 8's or 10's maybe 3 12's
