Textured Paint

does anyone have any experience with this? I don't want to go through the hassle of carpeting the box, and I was just wondering if anyone had used it at all.

I use Herculiner and it makes a nice, nearly bulletproof finish, but I'd love to see what a Rhino Lined box looks like.

i sue the roll on herculiner.. I recently used the bedliner in a spray can to cat my amp rack and it has tiny sand like pebbles and matte black finish which looks good on metal but i think mdf would soak it up and make it look liek crap. i got a gallon of herculiner at wallmart and painted a 23 cube box and i think i only used like 1/4 of it

Around here Wal-Mart doesn't carry Herculiner so I get it at Menards and it's like 22 a can or something and it's 2-1 quart cans to cover my 8 cube box.

Actualy never mind 3M undercoating! I used it on my 79 and it looks good and has a great texture... comes in spray cans

I don't follow, did you spray the MDF or not?

But yeah, I really do like the finished look it produces, and it's so much easier.

With Herc you don't spray, you use a roller and roll it on, and you don't need to prime because the shit is so thick. I used the cheap Rustoleum liner on my first box and primed the whole thing, looked nice until it got all scuffed up and chipped off.

one drawback is that it weighs down whatever you're spraying on. Oh well though, you already have sub setup, more weight wouldn't matter much
