Test Bench

I have one of these: Dayton Audio DTA-1 Class T Digital AC/DC Amplifier 15 Watts Per Channel - Parts Express 300-380

I picked it up to use outside after my old JVC jambox gave up the ghost. It's perfect for connecting an ipod to and giving me some music while I am out doing things around the house. It's even more perfect when I am washing and waxing my car while the Jehovah's Witnesses are walking around in the neighborhood because I can quickly pop on Disciple by Slayer! One of these days I am going to have to get a video of the look on their faces when that "God Hates Us All" chorus kicks in! It is totally priceless.

Bigdwiz did a clamp test on one over on diyma
Here ya go...not very impressive RMS watt wise, but it sounds amazingly powerful...It also appeared to handle 2 ohm stereo loads without a sweat, although struggled to get to 20w RMS per channel, even at 2 ohms!

Note: the amp has silkscreening saying it supports 2-16 ohms, but the box says 4-16 ohms..go figure! I was thinking the newer LP-2020A+ model supported lower ohm loads, but maybe it was a typo. Either way, it appears to handle 2 ohms fine, just don't expect huge power.
