Because we're talking about private enterprises who have better things to do than cater to a select audience with a less than objective viewpoint on life.

Aside from that, any group of people can create a periodical, show, whatever -- and review movies. Although i would imagine turnover would be a problem in this particular case.

Wouldn't that work to their advantage? Typical critics are elitist artsy folks, wouldn't this give you a more representative sample of the population?

i vote no... what if it is their dying wish to ruin a perfectly good movie for hundeds, if not thousands, of innocent people. they shouldnt get any special treatment. i mean, maybe i want to be suprised. i dont want some dying person to ruin it for me...
