Tempest???

Any opinions on on the tempest sub? How much power can i put into it without having to worry about blowing it, and will it sound good.....is it loud, basically just give me the lowdown on it, thanks

I've battle tested the tempest to no end...(would dare say more than anybody else has)

Beat that thing with 1500 watts..and it was fine...(burps mind you)

Play steady with 500 watts no problem...ALL DAY

put it in 4 cubes and port it low...and wang it like you ain't got no brains...

I've clamshelled a pair and sent 2000watts to it....they never showed signs of stress...

BEAT LIKE SICK HAMMERS.....

and also put them in a home theater application and just as clean and fun as it gets...

Very good quality ....good buy.....absolutely my favorite subwoofer...

yeah i kinda knew black00 would be one to give a good respone mister 153 i believe with a single tempest right?? anyway yeah i heard they are a great sub just like the shiva.

How big of box would I need to put 2 of them in?

For daily driving SQ 8cubes for the both, for SPL 12+cuft for the both

i was gonna say more like 6 for sq daily then like 10-12 but yeah 8 and 12 sounds good to me. hope you got a big car and don't mind not having a back end my man.

I agree with Wang Masta Marshall here, this is one hell of a sub...never tested one, but I have see them in action, and was impressed. I would say it is a Shiva with a bit more base and a bit less SQ...and of course 3 in bigger...

ive got 4 of em and i love em....they are very loud and sound really good....i would reccommend them...i got each one of mine run at about a lil more than 600 watts each i got 2 jbl 1200.1's hooked up to em......theyre def. worth it and i would reccomend em......

Definitly 8 becasue you still have to factor in the space that the driver will take out of the box along with the port. Wait I just look at the adire this is the 15" for some reason I was thinking of the maelstrom 18". But still 8 is good becuse you will be right around 3.5 after the displacement.
