tell me why you like bass box pro 6

I love it because it works perfectly for all box types. You just plug in numbers, and you sometimes don't even need sketchup, which is the best box design tool ever made frankly. Put in some numbers and BAM, record setting enclosure.

The preceding is all lies. It's a good program, but doesn't work as well as Pen and Paper v 1.01

You should update to version 2.02. It has a few minor updates that you might need like "extra ink" fix and the "more paper" feature. It's good if you ask me.

I mainly use it to punch in the dimensions I want and get the cutouts done automatically. Takes less time and is in fact easier than pencil & paper. Anyone who says otherwise, must be able to sketch a box & figure dimensions in less than 15 seconds. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Which means you don't know how to design an enclosure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
BBP6 is a tool, but it does NOT give you box dimensions straight through. The port tuning for the program is not accurate because it doesn't work properly for slot ports. You need to do your own work and then CHECK it in BBP6.

Hmm, is it work the extra $0.00? The first version ran me quite a bit of cash.

Um, yes it does.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif Are you shitting me? I've been using this program for almost four years now. You cannot just type in numbers and use the dimensions spit out by the program. You cannot possibly sit there and tell me it's accurate when I know for 100% fact that it isn't.

I'm not saying it's accurate, I'm saying it will give you a cutlist; did you happen to read where I quoted you?

I don't have it installed anymore so I can't show you but I know it does have a cutlist option.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Yes, I'm aware that it has a cutlist option. I don't give a shit about that because it isn't accurate. It's like me saying "no, this place doesn't have a bathroom." and then you come along and are like "yeah it does, the door is just welded shut and doesn't have a toilet or sink in it."

I thought you meant the program isn't accurate for calculating port length and whatnot. The only cut lists I have made were accurate and could piece together fine with correct volume and length.

I wouldn't use their cutlist but I have seen it be accurate... care to make some screen shots of their inaccurate cut list?

Okay, excuse my prior anger. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What I was meaning is that the program does not create accurate enclosures if you just plug in numbers. Conversely, this creates innacurate cutlists. Yes, the pieces fit together fine, but the dimensions and volumes that they create can be off by as much as five hz or .25 cubic feet as I've personally noted.

Yup.

It is NOT accurate, at all.

Well the main problem is I needed to design a box in a mustang trunk for a 12 MT.

Obviously there is no dead on specs for an MT due to so many diff configs.

So all I have to work with is dimensions allowable for the box itself.

And we need a tuning of 35Hz.

Max external dimensions are 24 L x 30 W x 10.5 H

Sub up (clearance) and port whichever you all think will sound better/louder.

Thanks for the help,

Ben
