This is for $1200 and I was wondering what ya'll thought, whether it would be worth it, whether it would be a good system for both rap and rock. Anyways:

I tried to include links if it will help. I know that the speakers aren't amped, might do that at a later time when I have more money to spend. Anyways, for those of you who know a little more, how does this look for $1200 including installation and everything? He's dropping prices on some of the parts so that it comes out to $1200 with installation, tax, etc. This will cost me no more than $1200 despite what those prices might add up to.

I just spent 1232.79$ on an HU, Comps, Comp amp, Sub, and Amp.... All i need now is like another 350 to get a alt, and some more money for wires.....

I bought:

HU: ALpine CDA 9813-315$

Comps: CDT CL-61a 149.99$

CompsAmp: US Acoustics 2080-89.99$

Amp: Tsunami DB 1100- 278.81

Sub: RE XXX 12" 399$

So you can definately do alot better that your set up you have. Also, for some money less you could go with a eD A

Ok, so here is my question...in case you haven't figured it out, I'm not the most knowledgeable about this stuff so I really dunno if I should be doin any cutting or anything or the sort. Is this a decent deal? Will it sound good? If you could change some things and keep the same price point what would they be? Any other suggestions would be welcome as well....

well depending on what type of ford you have you can always buy some Q-Logic Kickpanels(149.99) and get like some 5.25 comps and stick those in there. You may even be able to get a amp to power the with. Its up to you. You always have to start somewhere so might as well start now and learn how to do all that stuff you know?

Problem with a lot of these suggestions is that it is gonna cost more and I wanna spend $1200 max....no more than that. If you could change stuff for the same price, what changes would you make? What do you think might be overpriced....Ill edit and add the quoted prices...etc.

jl audio is overpriced, stick around for a few weeks and you will find more financially appealing items, here are some sites to check out

JMAC cause you cant put 6.5 in the q-logic kicks, i wanted to but you cant they only allow 6 1/8 i dunno who has a 6 1/8 speaker but thats what they make them for.

dude for 300$ you can get 2 pairs of CDT CL-61a's from thezeb.com. There are way better than those speakers you have on there. Check them out

Suggestion.... Drop the 2 speakers, get 1 set of CDT CL-61'as and upgrade headunit to an Alpine CDA 9813 or CDA 7894

Amp: Avionixx AXT-800.2- 285.00 elementaldesigns.com

The total is1019.99 plus shipping on some things.

That leaves you with almost 200$ for wiring and a box. You could also move your sub to a 10" eD K- 110$ or even and eD O 165$

What are other people's thoughts on that? What are some key things I should look for? What are some good brands?

That's a hell of a system for that price....you'd be much happier with that than your original plans.

I had about 1400 to spend on the system I have, which is listed below...that got me the equipment listed, materials to build my own box, and wires to install it. Plus I have money left over.
