Tell me about PowerBass - are the particular subwoofers any count?

Yes they are nice. I have a friend that has those on a Soundstream MC500 and sounds real nice. Even more so knowing how cheep they are.

Powerbass subs are decent, but nothing spectacular. I like their amps a lot more than their subs.

I'm not familiar with that series, cause that's the old series. But I 4 12's of the S-series (entry level), and they sounded good.
