tell me a lot about kicker L7 10"?

I've got 1,000w on a pair of sealed L7 10's and its giving it just about all they can handle. True enough, my amp is actually putting out more than that, but my box is sealed. A good sized ported box would just kill the subs. I'd say go up in sub size, go sealed or adjust your gains accordingly.

i dunno, there are people on here (v8s10) that run 2000 watts to each 15" (or 12"?) L7 daily.. there are some people that say dont go over RMS. In my expirience ide say a 12" can handle 1000 watts safely... I think your fine running 1400 watts to them, even ported. Just set gains right, and dont be stupid with volume.. I've seen a lot of mixed opinions about the L7's power handling, and I think its really up to you and what you feel safe doing...

The new (silver) L7's can handle the power. The old ones cannot. Check Sig... very satisfied and not too bad of performance for a daily driver. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not sure. It was at a locat SoundAdvice store. I think that I am hitting higher now though. I since readjusted my settings as well as turned the box around so that the port and subs are facing the rear. I can tell that it is hitting harder. I will soon go get metered again. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I think you guys are giving sketchy advice, personally. I don't think the 10" L7's specifically can handle the power, not ported. That's why I said one of the solutions was to go UP in size. You guys have 12's and 15's you are using for reference, while I actually have the 10's.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Again I say go up in size if you want to feed the subs that kind of power in a ported box.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Well, when I was designing my system I talked to many people who used various sizes of L7s. Everyone said that the 10L7s are comparable to the 12L7s. The only difference was cone area. I do believe that the 12s play a little lower than the 10s, but not too much. I would go with ported 12's or 15's because I like to play low notes. Regardless of what he chooses, the new 10L7s can handle 600-800 watts. :p
