so i went by work and picked up an empty keg that was out back, I got home and saw that it had sam adams boston lager in it, would it be bad to fill it with something else? and i guess i only saved ourselves the deposit money for the keg? i just need to get a tap and fill it with beer?

you don't fill the keg......

you simply take your empty keg to the distributor and tell what beer you want. They take and test your keg to make sure its good then they grab a pre-filled keg and give that to you.

its custom, to hang over the headlights to give an angry look. although now that i look at it, its not matching the fender...
