it happens. Someone buys something, takes the important stuff out and replaces it with something that weighs a lot and returns it. Clerk doesnt check and puts it back on the shelf.

I'm pretty sure they're SUPPOSED to check throughly on items like this.

I'd be interested in hearing the follow up story, I wonder if they'll actually get their money or a PS3.

if it makes the kid feel any better...my gf's next door neighbors brother thought he was getting an ipod mini for christmas. they are allowed to open 1 gift on christmas eve.

this kid was hooting and hollering all **** day, "oh im gonna open this one. i know what it is, i need to open this one. this one is the one i want!" long story short, when we sat down, and kids started opening gifts he ran and picked it up, opened it.

it was an afrin box.....but no afrin inside.... rather

I think it was an employee of the store. They did the swap and re-sealed the box there. I don't think it was a customer return.
