Do you think he should return to the NFL after having a stroke. If I were in his shoes, I would not, simply because the physical violence of football could be a bigger risk than daily activities. He's got kids and a wife to think about. What is your opinion.

Edit:: I put two yes and no answers, one being a flat out yes and no, with no deciding factors, and then a yes and no, with deciding factors. You choose the option considering your morals and obligations if you were in his shoes, another words does family health factor in and does making a living factor in also.

The doctors have cleared him completely. It sounds like there's no lasting effects from his stroke.
Doctors aren't always right, in his shoes, I think I'd have to think about my family and not take a risk. Not to say that it couldn't happen again football or no football. I'd just try to eliminate as many risks as possible.

thats just overconfidence bias, why would his random *** family with new medical training know whats better for him than several trained physicians and doctors epecialized in the topic.

this is the dumbest thread ever.

should he also stop driving his car? because if all the doctors cleared him i garuntee he has a 100x larger chance of dying in a car accident than a football+medical complications related injury.

Yeah and I'm sure Jason Collier, the NBA player that just died, had passed physicals and was probably ok'd to play by doctors. Doctors aren't always right. This thread is just seeking an opinion, obviously he has talked with his family and doctors, but I'm asking what you would do in his shoes. Would you play or wouldn't you. Simple answer. I seriously doubt money is an issue, so why take a risk you don't have to. That's my opinion.

Depends, does he have a 200+ lb running back hitting him while he's driving? There's always a risk, no matter who you are or what you do. All I am saying is why take a risk you don't have to. He's probably financially set, so why risk taking a blow that might trigger something? I wasn't saying that other things he does can't do it, or that it just can't happen one day out of the blue. But if you can eliminate one potentially large risk, then why not?

If I was him I would play. Hell if my grandpa can get over triple bypass and 2 strokes and still pick up a 16 lb bowling ball well smoking his cigars and ciggerettes, then I think Teddy Bruschi can suite up and hit with the best of them. Besides the pats could use him right about now. They are ******* it up big time.

He should stay gone, it's only a matter of time before we see a death on the field in the NFL, and I bet it will be this guy. Last I checked, living and breathing is more important than football. Some athletes just don't know when to shut it down, and shame on the doctors and team for allowing him to come back so soon at a minimum. He should be out at least to next season. I still think he's gonna die on the field.
