Has anyone ever noticed that product specs on crutchfield.com sometimes differ from the product specs published by the actual manufacturers?
For example, kenwood specs out the xxv-03a amp as 800w rms @ 2 ohms, and 1000w rms @ 1 ohm. Crutchfield.com specs out the same amp as 919w rms @ 2 ohms, and 1000w rms @ 1 ohm.
That's the only example i have in front of me, but i could have sworn their specs have seemed odd in the past. Was wondering if anyone else noticed this?
I don't know if they actually do bench tests and publish the tested specs, rather than manufacturer, or maybe the kenwood specs were pre-production, and ended up being different.
Anyone else noticed this, or know why the specs might be different?
