Hey,

My friend said he can get me this sub for $600 each, is that a good deal? I really don't know much about these subs, but he says they are really good. Does anyone have any hands on experience with them or heard about them. I tried doing a forum search but i didnt find anything. Any help would be appreciated thank you. Also the specs are as follows:

if you dont know about, then you should probably stay away from it. that is the comp sub from RF, its deff not for a beginner, an for 600 each, go get a couple BTL18's for 500 a pop if you want to be loud, but dont forget you will need 5kw in amps, another 2k, electrical upgrade and wiring, about 800, and everything else. if you want some boom, go buy a couple Hype R's throw 700-1000 @ each an you will be more than pleased.

you can get them directly from rockford for 350 shipped, brand new, so no its not a good deal.... it uses a tc4hp motor.

^are you sure i allways heared they used the shocker xtreme motor, but i could be wrong.

i think shocker only makes the sig and neo-sig motors the rest were bought from eminemce, i think its been so long since i talked to mike or any1 who knows a lot about shocker so i could be wrong.

I bet they can hang with the FI btl's, DD hell any newer woofer, its an oldy but a goody. $600 for a 12" is steep, crap i think my teamate is selling his 15"s a little more than half of that. that is definately not a sub for daily driving. no sq at all. they just get loud.pass aint worth the headache and cash youd have to put into install and equipment. there are many other choices. just depends on what you want. just ask around on the forum.

plus shipping in your auction- i was including shipping.... (from the same place btw- highdesertaudio which is rf's ebay store) good catch though.... way cheaper than 600... btw- you can sent the motors to tc, and they can make a tc5200 out of it for less than you can buy a tc5200.... (cost of the trf + a 5200 recone or around 6-700 dollars for an 18...)
