Team Maxxsonics

I heard that Maxxsonics has started a Team Maxxsonics to compete this year in SPL / SQ events.

It is not a factory vehicle team but a program that allows direct purchase and rewards those that do well.

They say they are not using factory vehicles because they don't want to compete with there customers.

I think that's fantastic.

they have amps from 1600 watts to 10,000 watts RMS!

best idea i heard of in a long time. if you notice players shifting teams so do the trophies lol this should get people an honest evaluation

in spl alot of the "junk" lines do well thats why i dont really call things junk that much unless its pro thump or someone trying to get sq out of a stroker lol.

The Pyramid (I believe) Hyper Pro series are supposed to be pretty good in the lanes.

i knew a guy that was breathing down the 160's before 160 was broke with pyramid super pros. he was doing 158's was pretty insane even the amps were super pro. was in a 80's buick regal with 4 15's and a weird wall. iirc he had an amp on each vc and a truck full of batteries

I get that feeling too....especially with the name, there are very few people on this board with a call name that is their name, and those people are individuals such as dan wiggins.

Wasn't the stroker designed as a SQ sub? I know they get extremely loud, but if memory serves me correctly, they're actually quite nice sounding...although I've never had first hand experience with one.

They were originally designed in the '70s for movie theaters to be extreme SQL subs (sound decent, hella impactful). Some movie companies required that a theater have a certain number of Strokers before they were even allowed the rights to show a certain movie.

No, I don't work for Maxxsonics.

I am an independant engineer and just know car audio better then most.

I have had Hifonics amps in my cars as well as many others for many years and have tested just about every other manufacturers products.

This is what I do for a living and not hobby.

Just thought I'd give a little helpful information instead of brand bashing.

I am a member of other forums and am just new to this one.

I know there are lots of subjects to talk about but I chose this one for now because I think that it may be helpful to know what's new in our industry.

It's easy to talk about every thing that screwed up or controversial but I'm a little beyond petty criticism and unfounded statements.

The news is full of depressing stories so i choose positive images of reality.
