no I know local shows here in Miami say they have db drag competitions but it is just what "they" call it. its not the real db drags, so that could be the confusion were he is I think, as for the numbers I actually understood him the first time. He went against a guy claiming to have one of your boxes and beat him by 1dB. Possible? of course you cant say everyone you sell a box to is gonna break 150 so it is very plausible.

There's been SO many businesses come through here. They all do the same thing. It's just nothing new and nothing that hasn't been done before many times. Hell there's been a few box building start-up companies by forum members that used CA.com alot for their marketing. And I've never seen anyone ***** this much about that type of marketing since the whole eD drama.

I've also never seen anyone put up numbers with anyones boxes that could be bragged about. And hell alot of people seem to trash the whole image of the TCAB box and how it takes up the whole trunk and blah blah. That's funny because I rarely see any pretty boxes from the pics people put up. I mostly see big ported, basic carpeted boxes with an amp mounted on the box that fills up the majority of the trunk. All designed to try to hit the big number, to get rediculously loud.

All I've seen is a guy who found something that works not only in his ride but others also and is excited about it. Because this is a car audio forum and the most interested category in the sub forum is SPL. People want to get loud, louder, loudest. And again this is a car audio forum.

If people trash the box taking up the whole trunk, then they're obviously not looking for spl. Although I've never seen anyone whine because of that, they are mistaken if they do.

His boxes loud? Yes (never seen/heard one). Is he entitled to be excited about it? Absolutely.

However, the largest problem I've seen, is in every thread no matter what specific woofers are mentioned, the Type R and TCAB box come up. "I want a 12'' IDQ, and want pure SQ". Two seconds later Sblazer is in there saying "omfg teh tipe rrrr! get teh tcab and itz so lowd, look at myne!" After that, people start dissing Typr R and TCAB boxes in the thread, and like clockwork Mark comes in to defend his box. He has every right to defend his boxes, and I'm sure anyone would in that situation.
