tc9/tc2000 ....which is most like rl-p?

tc2000 15....$299 shipped. is this a beefy rl-p?. tc9 15"...less expensive rl-p? I want the sound of the rl-p, but feel the tc2k is same sound, better sub for the same price, or tc9 is basically same as rl-p for less. or do I just have to pay tc2k price for a rl-p to guarantee the rl-p sound I love so much

im not a TC guy though so I have no idea about the tc2k

Haha, they're TC9 drivers, so they should be similar. But if you want an Rl-p why not get an rl-p?

We're talking about the same price range.

I have no personal experience with both the TC-9, and TC2k.

Although I did have an Rl-p.

The TC-9 doesn't have the throw that the rl-p has, but the tc2k does.

But if you want something that sounds like an rl-p why not get an rl-p?

Haha, they are similar woofers, with a 10 dollar or so difference.

They are built by the same company, and have the same motor.

The soft parts might be a little bit different. The TC2k has a lower qts which implies that it may perform slightly better in a ported enclosure.

If you are looking for RL-p sound, then most definately get the rl-p.

Is the tc2k probably similar?

Yes.

Would you rather save 10 or so dollars and get the TC, or buy the rl-p and know that you have an rl-p?

Put a WTB thread up for rl-p 15, at one point in time there was a lot of them out there.
