Won't fit. The motor, as ciaonzo stated, can not be greater than 8". Although, you could have a machinist make a threaded top plate that could bolt on like the original motors and have the correct ID and threading as a 4hp... Oh the possibilities!!

Not always true. It fits just fine on the old team rf motors with the silver topplates (4hp's) most of the old roe members (yourself included) should remember the pics I posted of the 10" 4hp I built using a lightning basket...
