No payment yet, so 10" LMS 4000 top assembly is available once again. Add a touch of solder and slap it on a 3LM (3HP+) or a TC9 and you've got one of the best 10's money can buy. Period.

hey cool thanks for the tease

id get the LMS4000 if it was a single 2 ohm or dual 4 but the amps I have dont have enough beef @ 4 ohm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

It's a Sound Quality driver. The LMS 4000 has a very soft spider and it needs a relatively large sealed enclosure, so it doesn't take but a few hundred watts to drive it to Xmax - 500 to 800 would be perfect. Not only that, the Re is about 2.8 Ohms so it's actually best to have an amplifier that's comfortable making it's power at 2 Ohms. These things will draw quite a bit of current from your amplifier at very low frequencies.
How's that for a tease?

Im seeing that vid of that 10" now, what kinda power they like?
Normally it would be anywhere from 400 to 600 RMS thermally, but since they have the coil rub it would be a bit less as far as mechanical power handling. It would depend on the enclosure really. A vented enclosure would help stave off the coil rub for as long as possible while getting the most output.

bump for some nice shit.
GL man great drivers at great prices.

Thanks, fellas.

Video of 10" TC2 excursion is up for those who were interested. Behavior is exactly the same for both drivers.
$180 shipped for the man who has the balls to buy this pair of TC2's. They've never even been mounted. Just have a slight limitation on maximum excursion. They're Sound Quality drivers anyway, people. Just put 'em on some low power and enjoy the music. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you've got a better price in mind for anything else you see, shoot me a PM.

Dammit, im tempted even on that 12" TC2000...
I have 600@2ohms for one of those 10s, thats why i asked bout the power handling...
Yeah, having 600 on tap would be fine. You'd just have to exercise a little self-control with the gain/volume is all. The excursion you see in the video is nearly all of it. The same driver without coil rub would only move a tiny bit more before the suspension began to lock up. The main difference would be the fact that you couldn't just turn it up as loud as you wanted without being reminded of the coil rub. As long as you weren't trying to squeeze every last dB out of them, they would perform nearly the same as a normal one.
You'd definitely want more than 600 on tap for that TC 2000. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ahh, gotcha. I dont max my stuff out like that. Yea, I know bout the TC2000, I have a 15" and would like ur 12" next to it... lol
Speak of the Devil - She just Sold.
Kinda sad about that one, I'll miss it. Bye-bye, beautiful. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif
